These terms govern your use of EVStrada (the "Service"), the free EV trip-energy calculator available at evstrada.com. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

What EVStrada is

EVStrada is a pre-trip planning aid. It estimates how much energy an electric vehicle is likely to use on a given route, based on published vehicle specs, elevation data, historical weather, and the trip parameters you enter. It is not a navigation system, a real-time router, or a substitute for your own judgement about whether a journey is safe or feasible.

Estimates, not guarantees

Every figure the Service produces is an estimate. Real-world energy use depends on many factors we cannot measure — your exact driving style, wind, traffic, tyre condition, real battery health, charger availability, and more. We present optimistic, realistic, and conservative figures precisely because a single number would be misleading. Do not rely on EVStrada as the sole basis for a decision where running out of charge would put you at risk. Always keep a sensible charging margin and verify against your vehicle's own range display.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass its rate limits and access controls;
• scrape or bulk-download data through automated means beyond ordinary personal use, or resell the Service's output as your own commercial product;
• misrepresent an EVStrada estimate as a guaranteed or official manufacturer figure.

Data and intellectual property

EVStrada combines several open datasets — routing and elevation from OpenRouteService, weather from Open-Meteo, map data from OpenStreetMap contributors, charging locations from Open Charge Map, and vehicle specifications from open community sources. Those datasets remain the property of their respective providers and are subject to their own licences, which we credit on the about and methodology pages. You may reference or link to individual EVStrada result pages freely; please don't copy the site's content wholesale or present it as your own.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate will match your actual trip.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EVStrada and its maintainers are not liable for any loss or damage — including a depleted battery, a missed connection, wasted time, or consequential loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its estimates.

Third-party links and services

The Service links to and depends on third-party sites and APIs. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of a linked service is governed by that service's own terms.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
